    Greetings everyone,

I’m using the advice from my other posts and started to clean up and clean out code to find the source of my contact form problem. I’ve run across something very odd. I’m trying to get this page to be a nice xhtml validation from W3Schools and to figure out why the submit and error code goes below and behind the footer of the template.

    At: http://www.tapanime.com/cms/pageinfo/contact.php

    Validation: http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.tapanime.com%2Fcms%2Fpageinfo%2Fcontact.php&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&verbose=1

If you view the source on the actual contact page you see that it has the closing tags for the Option part of the form but they are not in my code anywhere they just appear there.

But the main thing I’m wondering if you do the source you see this:
    <pre style="height: 50px;"><form action="pageinfo/contact.php" method="post">

I have check all my CSS, All parts of my template, Snippet, Chunks that have to do with this page (IE: Form chunks and snippet). No where in any of those parts of my page is there code for a PRE tag to be there or to have that closing tag at the end of the OPTION tag before the closing OPTION tag.

Can anyone tell me why or where else I might look on why that PRE is showing up and why the option tag is self closing itself without myself putting that \ in?

    My CSS is at: http://www.tapanime.com/cms/assets/templates/Animetor/animetor-4b.zip

If you need any other code or information on helping figure this out let me know.

    Thanks.

Are you using an editor for filling the chunks/form in you document?

Sorry I don’t really understand your question.

I’m using the eform chunk and snippet and then calling that on the page with a template. So I’m not using any editor that I know of?

Can you ask in a more simplified way and I can try to answer you.

Well, it´s possible to insert code for a chunk with the built in editor like TinyMCE or fck, but per default the editor is OFF. Sometimes these editors mess up the code. But since you´re not knowing what I´m talking about, I think that´s not the problem here wink

Do you perhaps have a local installation of your modx system? Then you could try to search this fragment (e.g. pre style="height:) in all files of the installation. Somewhere this code must come from...

Regards and sorry for not being precise wink

            Greetings,

I’ll check to make sure that is off. Just to be safe, I don’t have an installation locally at all. I will poke around some of the files to see if I can’t find that fragment thou.

If you or anyone else has any other suggestions let me know. I just can’t figure out why it’s putting that there.

After looking at that editor it was turned on.

I turned it off and rechecked the code on that contact page and the Pre height showed up so that was the deal.

              Thanks a bunch
