Hi. I’d like to confirm if there are any issues with installing ModX on MAC OSX?

    The server software is: Apache/1.3.33 (Darwin) DAV/1.0.3 mod_ssl/2.8.24 OpenSSL/0.9.7i PHP/4.4.1 mod_watch/3.17

So I assume there would no problem.

Does anyone have experience with this?

    Thanks.

      I’m running it right now on OSX, Apache/1.3.33 (Darwin) PHP/5.0.5 mod_ssl/2.8.24 OpenSSL/0.9.7i

with absolutely no problems. I’m also running the latest SVN trunk, which is working fine.

Just make sure your permissions are set right, and that you’re specifying the correct paths, and you should be fine.

I’ve got two installs of MODx here on my local server (0.9.5 & 0.9.2) and an install of 0.9.2 at work - all have installed without a hitch.

I run our reasonably substantially sized college web site and intranet sites on Macs. That probably won’t always be the case, but for now it is and no problems... well none that are the Macs fault rolleyes

I’ve installed it on the default Apache, but I much prefer MAMP, configured to use php5. Never gives me any trouble. I also update frequently to the latest SVN version.

I am having issues installing on OS X with XAMPP , I am getting the following errors.

Checking if /assets/cache and /assets/cache/rss directories are writable: FAILED!

Checking if /assets/cache/siteCache.idx.php file is writable: FAILED!

Checking if /assets/cache/sitePublishing.idx.php file is writable: FAILED!

I have set permissions correctly yet I am still getting this error.
