    Hello.
    I have the following tree structure:-

    Site Root
    ->Home Page
    ->->Section 1
    ->->->Document 1A
    ->->->Document 1B
    ->->Section 2
    ->->->Document 2A
    ->->->Document 2B
    ->->Search Results
    ->->Contact Form
    I have User Groups and Document Groups set up so that different users can edit Document1A, Document1B etc.
    If I leave the HomePage, Search and Contact pages (plus the Section1, Section2 folder pages) as belonging to "All Document groups(Public) then all is reasonably ok. If a Section1 person logs in then the Section2 branch does not appear on the tree which makes everything bit clearer for them. BUT they have edit permissions over Home, Search and Contact pages (plus the Section1,Section2 folders).
    Unfortunately I don’t want to give them edit control over these pages.
    If I put the Home, Contact, Search,Section1,Section2 pages into a private document group, then they don’t see anything in the tree when logged into the manager.
    I think (but am guessing) that it could be because the 1st document they have permissions for is 2 levels deep from the homepage.
    Many thanks to anyone who can help

      Managed to cure this with a bit of hacking in the manager 3ldr.php code.
      Then (only after doing it of course ) found someone has done something similar:-

        There’s been lots of tree menu and permissions updates in the SVN repository after the last public beta release... it’d be great to get some feedback as to whether or not the issues are resolved.

          The latest I have got is beta3-rev1533

          Are the changes you mention in that revision (my mods were on the 0.9.2.1 install) , or do I need to wait a while?
          I will try some tests as soon as, but will probably not be until tomorrow at best.

          I appreciate that you don’t want too many people with access to the SVN, but wondered if there is a daily/weekly/whatever snapshot anywhere, or else whether we can get read-only access at all?

            There are public read rights to the SVN Trunk, look at: http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,5947.0.html

              Not got the SVN yet sorry - But my issue isn’t sorted in latest Beta (beta5-rev1785).

              I posted my fix here http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,2316.msg59010.html#new which involved a hack on the 3ldr.php file - not dissimilar to something Timon Reinhard had done.
