    I’m using the File-Upload Snippet by Mitch. When a new user tries to upload a file a crearte a new directory with his id. Now FileUpload tries to create the directory with the following rights: 777

    mkdir($path, 0777);

    But when I check it, the directory only has 755.
    As a result, the upload results in a fatal error.
    When I use chmod 777 afterwards, everything works fine.

    I’m no PHP-expert, so my question is:
    Why are the rights set to 755?
    Info: php safe mode is on! Could that be the reason?

    Please help, it’s urgent. smiley
