I have been absent from my modx run site for about a month, today I logged into the manager and attempted to create a new chunk, but got this nastiness :-
Warning: unlink(../assets/cache/docid_82.pageCache.php) [function.unlink]: Permission denied in /home/skr/public_html/manager/processors/cache_sync.class.processor.php on line 56
Has anyone seen this before? Are the permissions mean’t to be 777 ? they all appear to be 644 is it possible something has happened to the server and permissions have been changed ?

they should likely be 666 for the files and 777 for the folder (in cache)

This was a hosting issue, for anyone reading, for some reason permissions reverted on the server - the host, could offer no explanation.
