This seems simple enough but i dont want to start doing it unless im doing it right !

    here is the situation,

I have my site all up and running nice its currently installed at a location like this

    www.myurl.com/test

i wish to move it to the root

    www.myurl.com

whats the best and quickest way to move it down to the root directory without having any problems ?

      Simply move the MODx directories:

      public_html/test/manager to public_html/manager
      public_html/test/assets to public_html/assets
      public_html/test/index.php to public_html/index.php

Secondly, goto Administration > Configuration, change the resource paths accordingly, moreover, if you have any absolute urls in image src, then you have to change them.

Simple enough? smiley .. hope it helps.

      regards.

Are you sure? ..nice ftp program.. grin

Anyways, just download the files+folders to your local computer then and upload them back to the site root folder..

what CP you use ? CPanel? Plesk?

You can do the same in your web based control panel very easily.

              regards.
