    There is a way to set the fields private_memgroup and private_webgroup of the table documentgroup_names ? What are the conditions to set one or both of them to 1 ?

    The first field is used in user_documents_permissions.class.php, but I have it always equal to 0 in my db and the use of the class mentioned (udperms) give me always the same result of true.

    Thank you in advance,
    maurizio

      Maybe I am misunderstanding, but why not use the manager to manage documen groups and permissions?

        I used the manager to manage groups and permissions (for both, users and web-users), but I have these two fields always set to 0.

        What is the condition/procedure to set it to 1 ?

          What is it you are trying to achieve by changing those table values? Usually it’s not necessary to directly edit the tables.

            I don’t want edit the table ... I want to know how/when these fields are set to 1 using the manager.

            I want use the udperms class in a script of mine (a report on documents with link to edit-action only for managers who have the permissions).

            The udperms class fails because it uses the field private_memgroup.

              This is the only reference I could find:

              find . *.php | xargs grep -n private_memgroup
              ./manager/processors/user_documents_permissions.class.php:98:				AND (1='' OR NOT(dgn.private_memgroup<=>1)".(!$docgrp ? "":" OR dg.document_group IN ($docgrp)").");";

              I hope it helps.

                So, there aren’t functions to set or unset these fields ...

                Thank you Andy.

                  They might be left over for backwards compatibility. Or they are used by snippets only perhaps...

                    I think they was used to have two different document-groups, one for managers and one for web-users (now we have the same document-groups for both front and back-end)
