Can we input 'Tab' when editing snippet?

Can we actually input the ’Tab’ key when we are editing snippets? If I press the Tab key it exit the textarea and go to the next control in the form.

This is a browser/operating environment issue, not a MODx issue. If you need a tab, copy and paste one.

Wouldn’t it be much better to add for example 3 spaces instead of a tab?

If you mean as an indent, I believe that’s a matter of personal preference. MODx doesn’t impose a house style on that kind of thing.

There are however other reasons for using a tab. If you need to put one into a string it’s worth remembering you can use "\t".

Hmm, i believe i saw a resource or a tip to allow this.. Try searching the forums via google.

we need to indent code quite a lot when writing PHP code in snippet, unless we copy & paste from other editor, I think the only solution is to use space instead of tab.

There are a few implementation that allow tab but it also require some javascript code to be embedded
