Hi all :) is this possible with modx?

Righty .. now ive used Modx to do numerous sites .. i love it, one kida site ive NEVER done before is a BLOG site.

So .. is this possible.... to create a blog site .. where I can grant people access to write blogs( i dont want just anyone to be able to sign up) , to have the users be able to have a picture of themselves appear beside their blog entry, to be able to list the blogs by date OR view all of a particular users blogs .... is this doable ?

Thnx

Yes.

Cool! are there any instructions

ive done the basic blog ones .. but for the rest?

I can’t point you to a definite tutorial on the subject but any MODx blogging will require using those snippets :

• Ditto : to select which post you want displayed, according to which criteria(s), and to set up your summary and detailed post template (via chunks). Check Ditto doc file and forums
• Jot (previously know as Replix) : to handle comments, comments moderation, templates for comments... etc
• NewsManager : make sure to get the latest version revised by tfd (documentation has been widely improved !) -> follow the link I added. This will help you handle the user privileges, but also the frontend editing by web users.

I hope this helps you get started

Thanks David M .. .im sure it will!
