    I have a website perfectly working on my laptop, then I tried to put it on the web, following all instructions in documentations. After I have done everything that’s written there I got the following:

    « MODx Parse Error »
    MODx encountered the following error while attempting to parse the requested resource:
    « PHP Parse Error »

    PHP error debug
    Error: mysql_connect(): Can’t connect to local MySQL server through socket ’/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock’ (2)
    Error type/ Nr.: Warning - 2
    File: /home/www/apeksoft.com/manager/includes/extenders/dbapi.mysql.class.inc.php
    Line: 48
    Line 48 source: if(!$this->conn = ($persist ? mysql_pconnect($host, $uid, $pwd):mysql_connect($host, $uid, $pwd))) {

    Parser timing
    MySQL: 0.0000 s s (0 Requests)
    PHP: 0.0489 s s
    Total: 0.0489 s s

    I’ve double checked everything and it seems that Idid everyting right. Could it be a hosting problem? I try to put the website on a free awardspace.com hosting.

    Thank you in advance!

      Hello Vadim,

      Have you used the installer again when you moved the page? You need to change DB credentials. I have removed content of "/manager/includes/config.inc.php" and reinstalled, worked perfect.
