I’m going to guess that installing in that environment will be very challenging at best. 095 forward will (likely) only officially support PHP 4.3+ too, but it might work...

The problem of free hosting services is, they have various limitations and very a specific environment. I have created a dedicated thread for feedback about MODx working or not in different environments. It’s always the first place to go if you want to know wether or not your host is listed.

Susan already helped us set up a special MODx version for the main free hosting service in France, free.fr
You can get a 0.9.2.1 here if you like. I doubt we do a different version for each specific configuration. free.fr is the 1st free provider, it made sense to build a tweaked MODx for several hundreds (possibly thousands) users, but freesurf ? I don’t think so...

’Could have been a cool way to test in the wild my (almost) first attempt with Modx, and, by the way, useful to expose my wife’s cv too (would be urgent now).

I ’ll attempt to redirect to my (still free premium hosting) at 1&1 but... undecided

I’ll post a request to freesurf anyway.. maybe ..

          Thx

One use for free hosts would be to simply host a static site that had been exported from a local install of MODx.
No, I don't know what OpenGeek's saying half the time either.

yes, I already thought about it,
but the extented functionabilities brought by a cms could be really useful for my wife’s cv.. (she works interim - short or medium mission so it has to be upadated quit often ..)

              Thanks
