Huge number of session files in /var/lib/php

    Hello everybody,

    Currently we have 35101 session (sess_*) files in /var/lib/php5. The partition type is ext3 - we won’t user reiserfs, for various reasons.

    I am worrying that this is far too much. It seems that old session files are not deleted. Can I just tell everybody to log out and then delete all session files ?

      This has nothing to do with MODx right now and everything to do with your PHP configuration. I’d discuss the issue with your server admin.
