When i do subj, in clear snippet and call it from clear template i get "maximum execution time error" (runned for 600 seks) or memory limit error (if memory limit smaller than 128M)

Проблема решена, добавлением die() после вызова вардампа.
Видимо modx какимто образом уходил в рекурсию
