Hi,
i am trying to let the user create a link to modx doc. At the moment i have a tv, where all the user has to do is enter the the doc id. Is there a better way to do this? For example the user could choose from all available documents, somehow?
g,
A web users or manager user? Manager users can create weblinks.
For a web user you could write a snippet that lists all the documents using a MySQL query. But I’m not sure what you want to do - have the user fill out a form? Where is the link created? Or do you want to just give them some HTML to cut and paste into their own website?
Andy
sorry i will try and be a bit more clear..
at the moment the user can tick a check box and enter a doc id to insert a link into a page. I was just wondering if there was a way to build a interface that lets the user see all the pages in the site and choose one to use, rather than them having to know the doc id.
cheers,
G
Are you talking about the WYSIWYG page editor in the manager?
Andy
nope, i have created two tvs to create the links. one to put the link in the page and one to assign the doc id to the new link.
And is a manager user or a web user setting the TVs? If it is a web user how are they doing that? Where do the links appear?
Andy
sorry, its for manager users only.
