i am trying to modify the prevNext snippet to work through the folders not the documents inside the folders.

Heres the code to get the parent, but how do i get the folder above it i.e the parent parent?
$parentid = $modx->documentObject[’parent’];
i have looked into [[UltimateParent]] which looks great but what i need is to find the child of UltimateParent. any ideas?
