convert folder to weblink

Hi,

is it possible to convert a folder into a weblink? i can do it the other way but i can not give an existing folder a weblink.

I’m not sure I understand your question. Are you asking whether you can change a document that happens to be a folder to a weblink document type, or if you can make a weblink a folder? You simply check the folder checkbox to make an existing weblink a folder. There is no current way to change a document to a weblink within the manager interface that I am aware of.

Not currently possible without going into the db and changing the type field in the site_content table to ’reference’, but this is a badly needed feature, selecting the MODx document type. Can you do me a favor and add this as a feature request to the bug tracker so I don’t forget about it, or someone with some spare cycles can pick it up from the list?
