Hey,
I want to make a webstore. I found something like shopX but it issent a released version.
It don’t have to be anything fancy with layout, I probably can do that myself.
And if it is possible the payment system like paypal and Ideal.
If it is another openscourch app that I can put into snippets for modx, I wont mind ether. Like oscommerce, only the laytout is fucked up with a lot of advertising
Thanks,
Eric
Do you know if it’s possible to use Zen Cart without using tables for layout in the template?
Perhaps I’m going too far with this web standards thing

, but the tables are a major turn-off for me...
Thanks for MODx - I love it!
I can’t remember offhand. You might want to check on the zencart forums where there are lots of helpful people. My guess is that even if you change the template to not use tables, tables are probably still used for things like the checkout page, etc.
Andy
Right. Thanks, I’ll look into it.
Thanks for MODx - I love it!

lol ... I recall when I was on the team at ZenCart, Matti and I from the beginning had a template that worked without tables. When over half the team decided their efforts were best spent elsewhere, I guess they dropped the effort.

Hello,
Indeed when you get the time to replay, I was trying zen- something.
SO far so good, I hope that it it possible to put the payment gataway "Ideal" in to the zen system for paying. (Only the Netherlands).
And there are so many options that it becomce confusing, but time will tell.
Thanks for the repley guy;s.

Oh noooo, how could they

No really, it’s a shame. I understand that for most people functionality comes first, but I’m only the designer/front end coder and for me the tables are a big deal. Though I suspect I can live with them if I don’t have a choice
Thanks for MODx - I love it!
Okay, it isn’t free, and like MODx, I’ve only just begun looking at it, but it might be worth seeing if ecommercetemplates.com and MODx play nice together.
I say that because...
- you rarely hear about ECT, but when you do, it always seems to be hugely positive
- like MODx, and certainly rare in the ecommerce arena, it is one of the few if not the only ecommerce scripts where you can literally drop a few lines of code into an existing design and be up and running... put the cart in the design versus trying to skin the design over the cart... gots to like dat!
