A weblink can have a template, but when I edit one linked to a template with a template variable I can’t see the template variable to edit it. I want to categorise my weblinks.
Any ideas? I’m using 0.9.2.1.
what kind of snippet do you use to list weblinks? Ditto/Newslisting or DropMenu/Wayfinder?
Actually, not even the template selection saves when it’s a weblink. But I dont see any reason why weblinks couldnt have TV’s too.. maybe file a bug report / feature request.

Because the document is checked for "type" before it’s parsed, and if it’s a "reference" type the sendRedirect function immediately gets called with the content as the argument. A "reference" document never hits the parser.
All I need is for the Manager to allow a template variable to appear on the edit page for a web link. I agree the parser isn’t necessary, but as ModX core snippets such as Ditto feature tag filtering now, it makes sense to allow a tag to be stored against a web link.
