I have this working with a ’File’ TV.
you could also use the resource browser that comes up when you want to ad a link instead od typing a link press the browse server button than go to the files folder and upload the pdf.
works great
Does not work for me, I’m afraid. I get
Error, "failed to upload file, Internal error"
when I try to upload a file after browsing in the file panel. Also creating directory does not work as it complains about permissions
There are public write rights on assets/files ... Would you have any idea what this could be??
Tom
I think I did the same stuff you did, only I got the permissions right.

even chmod to public write with ftp for the assets/file directory is not allowed due to permissions...
I don’t know what you mean by this. Are you saying that you can’t change the permissions from within your FTP program?
With ftp I could not chmod, no permission. But then with the providers online file tool I could use chmod and its now 777
Still, setting the folder to 777 did not solve the issue. The filebrowser still refuses to upload.
Even more, files I put in the asset/files directory with my ftp program, do not show up in FCKEditor’s resource browser window. This made me wonder if assets/files is the right directory at all... But if not, which dir is? Where to look??
What does it say at the top of the resource browser window? What folder does that think it is in?
