Hi, I did a search but didn’t find the answer to my question. I have a few of documents that when I uncheck the "show in menu" and "searchable" checkboxes -- they still continue to show as checked even after I save. Any ideas as to why this is happening? These particular documents are not being used in any menu call. Thank you!

To clarify: Is it just some documents that have this problem, or do you have this problem with any document show in menu / searchable checkbox that you try to uncheck?
No, I don't know what OpenGeek's saying half the time either.

Paul, I can’t remove the ’searchable’ or ’show in menu’ from any document. I just created a test doc and unchecked the searchable and show in menu when creating -- but they were checked in the saved version.

I have the Admin > Sys Config set to default Yes for ’Searchable’ and ’Show in Menu’ but I thought that was overideable at the time of creation or anytime later -- yes or no? Thanks.

I had never used the QuickEdit feature even though it loads by default -- I always directly edit documents in the manager. But I had my site launched and was looking over the QuickEdit box that hovers there and noticed the "Setting." So I checked "Hide in menu" and unchecked "Searchable" -- and lo and behold -- it takes. So any idea why I can’t edit "Show in Menu" or "Searchable" in the manager but I can do it with QuickEdit? I’m happy to be able to finally change these setting but wondering -- Is this by design or is something screwy with my setup? Thanks.

Out of curiosity, which browser are you using?

Something screwy - you should be able to change these. And a default Yes to ’Searchable’ shouldn’t affect the ability to change. There isn’t a changeable default for ’Show In Menu’. Unless you mean "Menu indexing default"?

Please confirm which version of MODx you are using - version and rev number (top right in manager) - and which Manager template you are using.

              EDIT: Yes, and which browser.

Sorry about saying default "Show in Menu" ...don’t know what I was thinking -- that’s not there, of course.

Anyway, I’m on a Mac using Firefox 1.5.0.6 and MODx 0.9.2.1 (rev 1005).

I’m not sure what you meant by "Manager template" -- is that the "theme"? If so, I’m using the installation defaults which shows as "MODx" theme and "Snap in top menu bar layout."

I’ve got no issues on Mac with FF 1.5.0.6. Your server?
