Template Vars only for Folders

Hi,

after a long night searching and comparing different cms systems, modx is the only one where i can do what i need.
The idea of TV’s is great. But what i need is somethink like TV’s but only for documents.
As Example:

A folder Books has many items Book 1, Book 2, .... an i would like to have the field ISBN only for the folder books is this possible with modx?

No, the TV will be available for all documents using that template. But it will only display its value where you put the tags, so if you put the tags in the document content it will only display in that document. And you can leave it blank for the default and it won’t display anything except where you edit it for the documents where you want it.

the reason for this question is when i have many tv’s the mask will be very long and not really usable for the user.

Maybe it’s possible to hide some tv fields with a plugin or module?

just make 2 templates one with and one without the tv’s

That works but i think this is not really a solution for my problem.

If I got some time I will try to code a module for this problem.
Maby I’m the only who got this problem?!?
