Hi,
I’ve noticed a problem with SMF forum content that I’m porting into Modx pages via SSI. Content that uses American style slanty apostrophies (Harry´s), are turned into question marks (Harry?s). I believe the forum uses iso-8859-1 (it certainly does not use UTF-8). The manager was set to use UTF-8, so I changed it to iso-5589-1 too, but still the problem with interpretation of apostrophes persist. Any ideas?
Thanks.
You just said 8859-1 and then 5589-1, which is right?

@Colin, this will completely depend on your templates you have designed and implemented in MODx for the front-end pages. If they set the character-encoding based on the MODx configuration property (which is still titled etomite_charset currently, for legacy compatibility mostly, and accessed via [(etomite_charset)] in the template), then a quick refresh of your site cache should reveal the change. Otherwise, you may need to add this to your templates manually before refreshing the cache to see the change.
