RTL feature is now officialy supported by MODx

FYI, we’ve just committed to our internal dev branch an implementation that makes RTL a configuration parameter in the manager, meaning that we’ll have proper support for Persian (and other RTL) languages in the next release. We’ll get a test build out ASAP for your feedback.

Added baseline support for Right To Left languages in the Manager

* Added two configuration settings, manager_direction and manager_lang_attribute.
* Added user settings for the new configuration settings.
* Fixed context menu display when RTL direction is selected.
* Menu tree displays on the right hand side of the Manager when RTL is selected.
* Numerous tweaks across the Manager to render RTL languages correctly (no impact when LTR is selected)
* Set code editing textareas (snippets, plugins etc.) to use LTR in all cases - TV editing areas use RTL if selected.
* Added DocManager support for RTL languages.

Garry has done all the work, so he deserves the credit here. I just bugged him enough about it so that he’d do it and stop having to listen to me any more.

We’ll have public test builds available soon, but you can test this immediately by getting the latest trunk from SVN as garryn’s changes have been merged as of revision 2251.

On the changes, any advice is welcome. I ran off the W3C guidelines for the RTL changes and, well, they can be cryptic at the best of times. So, shoot away with the feedback

thats such a kind habit of going straight forward to the point, and getting all the things on the way. so i may stick more on my testimonial

im getting the torotoiseSVN to gain access on your revision album, and i’ll give you a hand as soon as i get connected next time.
by the way to get passed on W3C verification most of the time the scroller side is the main forgotten issue, try to adjust it for RTL format of album, as we basically should launch the scroller left side of browser to verify the standard RTL output.

before any further release the public test would be a greater chance to test other than a bit complicated SVN by many more users.
