Hi!
How can I get a larger editor-window (i.e. more lines in the textarea) for editing resources?
Thanks
Donalbain
The simplest way is to click the X button in the upper right hand corner of the doc tree frame which will open the edit area up to the whole screen width. Then there will be a small icon at the very top left corner of the screen to restore it back to the two frames.
No, sorry, I meant the *height*. I’d like more lines.
I already have a good solution regarding the width: I usually use firefox. If you middle-click on the “manage resources”-submenu, you open it in a new tab, full width. If you do it several times, you can open several snippets, templates, chunks, etc at the same time. Very convenient.

In that case, you’ll have to go into the files and modify the textarea height manually.
Every section of the manager has a seperate file and each would need to be adjusted. Which ones do you want to modify?

Hi Donalbain,
The following files generate the editing screens (found under /manager/actions/dynamic):
mutate_snippet.dynamic.action.php (line 338)
mutate_plugin.dynamic.action.php (line 339)
mutate_templates.dynamic.action.php (line 194)
mutate_htmlsnippets.dynamic.action.php (line 179) <-- this is for chunks

Excellent! That’s what I wanted.
You modx-guys are great!
Thanks very much!
(Would be great it this could be configurable in some future version but for now I’m happy.)
