We couldn’t handle the millions right now, anyway, and that’s not our focus at the moment either. So that’s a very good thing!
Keep asking specific "how do I..." questions and you’ll have your "ahah!" moment soon enough. smiley

Admittedly, I haven’t spent as much time diggin into the "self tutoring" or asking enough "how to" questions as I’ve been advised, but I’m getting ready to push through to that orgasmic Aha, that I’m encouraged to pursue with Modx. Here’s my question. I’m sensing a warm fuzzy feeling about an imminent update to Modx (maybe 0.9.5) and while I’m in this learning curve, I don’t want to be installing and tooling around with modules when a new release might require me to A.) revisit module installs and their workarounds; or B.) might correct anamolies that I read about in the forums. Is there anyone that can spare this (and other) newbies the pain of the upgrade bubble?

      Upgrade bubble will come anyway!
Who cares if it’s from 0.9.2.1 to 0.9.5 or from 0.9.5 to 0.9.6.2, or from 0.9.9 to 1.0?
See and try what you can do with MODx - I mean with the release that’s in your hands.
If you find it to be promising, then stay tuned. If not - try again later or look for another solution.

Upgrades are really painless too. FTP files up. Move your config file into the manager folder. Run the installer in upgrade mode, and that’s it for a basic upgrade. Takes far longer to FTP than anything.
