First, I’d like to thank you guys for the great job you are doing here.

I have messed around with multiple CMS and this has been the quickest I have been able to get something up and running with a look that I can live with.

Anyways, I was wondering if there is a document manager available for Modx?

I am wanting to create a second site which will need the ability to post uploaded documents for individuals (reports, pseudo confidential). I’d like to email the user a link to their reports but have them password protected so only they can retrieve them (Will not be listed on a published document). I was thinking that it would be nice to not have to create them an account since many times these will be accessed once or twice and then achieved after 90 days. If it would not be possible without creating at least a web user account would it be possible to automate the creation of the username and password?

    Thanks again,

    Andy

It appears that FileDownload might be the closest thing that is available. Has anyone implemented this? If so, can you set the permissions at a user level instead of a group level?

      • There is this. It works pretty good, although I intend to improve it some. It has some extensive permissions that can be set on a per-user basis per document.
