I thought 0.9.5 should be availble for a while. But nothing to see so far. smiley
Any comments by the developers? smiley

Not exactly "nothing to see"; you can check the SVN for the latest commits, but there is still a lot of exciting stuff being tested in various developers’ own installations before it gets added in. Even from the changes in the SVN, you can see that it is a good thing that this hasn’t been released yet - some items have been added and then drastically changed after wider testing.

I think everyone involved has thought and implied that 0.9.5 would be ready by now, but also it has to be said that the 0.9.5 they imagined is a different beast to that which will eventually be released. What is clear that the release won’t come out just for the sake of there being a new version - it will be released when it is really ready.

As 0.9.2.1 was a bit of a rushed security release, you may also note that the 0.9.5 release will be more polished, with the latest snippets etc.
No, I don't know what OpenGeek's saying half the time either.

Ok, thanks for the information. I’ll take this as a "When it’s done.". smiley

Just wanted to know if I should wait for the new version, cause I’ve got 2 or 3 projects in the pipeline.

0.9.2 was actually originally going to be 0.9.5, but we backed a few things out that needed more testing and development time. 0.9.5 is pretty much feature complete and we’re working on sorting through some of the bugs and getting critical ones addressed.

I’m in the same position as Amayr. I have a couple of projects that I’ll be working on very soon and with the excitement of 0.9.5 ’right around the corner’, I’m holding my breath to start them. I, too, can except ’When it’s done’ as answer. Although, I think it would benefit the wonderfully patient community here to have a developer’s blog or something to keep people informed. I for one visit this site often just for a tidbit of info on anything regarding 0.9.5.

For tracking purposes, you might want to monitor the now-public SVN commits which shows our 0.9.5 progress. Fun for the whole family. wink

                Just my 0.02:
I think the what is as important as the when. Is there a comprehensive list of features around, telling us something about the main improvements (and changes) of 95 compared to 921? I found a lot of comments concerning this, mainly as responses to particular user-requests, but it’s all spread around the forums here.
Maybe I missed an important thread though...

No specific publicly disclosable feature list as some may get cut as our internal timeframe gets more compressed. Sorry!

It will be a seamless upgrade from 0.9.2.1 though, so my strong suggestion is to start there.

For my projects I won’t need special new features, so I’ll just use the 0.9.2.1 version. smiley
