    Hi,

I have been trying to install modx-0.9.2.1, and I can never get passed the mysql database part.

I know that mysql is running, and has root access. Testing my connection during ModX setup keeps showing me "Testing connection...." (forever). So, once I click "Next" the page just hangs, and nothing happens. What on earth am I doing wrong?

    Using:
    xp pro
    mysql 5
    php 5.1.2
    modx-0.9.2.1
    iis 5.1

Thanks in advance for your help!
    X.

Are you sure that the mysql/php settings are setuped correctly? Did you use some other php script to test it?

Don’t know if it helps, but look here. Also, just as heads up, check this if you are really going to install modx onto IIS.

Yes, a good question here is : Have you run any other PHP / MySQL app successfully on this setup?
No, I don't know what OpenGeek's saying half the time either.
