Modx Tag List?

Hey Modxers,
Howdy from a TXPer. I’m wantting to learn more about Modx, and have browsed the templates, documents, documentation, etc since I downloaded it to my local server. Its great.

I’m still missing a basic comprehensive tag list like the one found here: textpattern.net/wiki/index.php?title=Alphabetical_Tag_Listing

Anybody have any ideas?

Thanks,

Matthew

Here’s few listings, altought some tags are missing in the documentation..

How is it possible I missed that?
How long have those been there?
Dangit! I hate asking questions that getting answered too easily.
That’s a pet pieve of mine.

Thank you Doze

Why are a few tags missing? That seems odd?

Hi Matthew, and welcome to MODx, great to see you there

About missing tags... what do you mean by that ?
Those who are striked out are (if I am not mistaken) deprecated tags that were originally inherited from Etomite...

David,
hey there. I mostly meant that the list there didn’t seem complete?
But in hindsight, I think it just seemed short compared to TXP.
As I start to understand how ModX works though, I can see it depends
less on tags as such and more on snippets and other pieces if I am not
mistaken?

Another question would be if you all know if there are any folks out there who have made their site templates available to look through so that one can compare it to the live site? Often seeing how different people arrange different bits of code is helpful to understand how a thing works.

Thanks for keeping up with me here.
Seems like another good forum

Hi, there is a template download in the tutorial section of the documentation

http://modxcms.com/blog-step-one.html

It’s quite a good walk through for first timers!

Thanks web_designer,
That’s helpful.

Itd be good to get a bit more thorough example, but this is a good start

I know it’s not advanced but until a few weeks ago I was completely lost with MODx. I then found the tutorial and went through it all and I really does make everything much more clear.
After that it’s just a cases of adding some snippets to your website and playing with the snippet settings/calls.

You’ll be just fine... you’ve got the MODx community behind you now!

(mmmm the smell of cheese)

If you have other questions, please start another thread.

Thanks and regards.

Not all tags are listed there.. don’t know which are missing, but for example [(site_url)] and [(base_url)] is not there..
