Hello - first post - Modx is fast !

Hi

I currently use CMS made simple for my wifes business website.

I am currently playing with Xaraya, though nice, seems a bit too industrial for my needs.
I have also tried Joomla and Drupal.

Im spending a little time with modx now, as im going to be setting up my personal site and I am liking the featureset of Modx more than any other CMS, just gotta see how it pans out in use.

What is suprising me the most is how fast the page loads are - Xaraya and CMS made simple can get page load times down to 0.2 to 0.3s - but Im getting 0.1 to 0.2s with modx - is it just modx liking our server, or do most people find it zips along ?

MODx performance will vary depending on the amount and structure of the content (due to how the current caching mechanism works) but you would have to have a lot of content on your site before you’d really start to notice I think.

Personally, I’ve always found MODx to be lightning fast, even on my cheapy hosting package
