First off, I’m new to this software, just downloaded it and installed it on my local server.

Now, I figured I’d want to install Ditto to use the software as a blog, but the installation instructions have me stumped...

"Overwrite the contents of ditto with the contents of the file snippet.ditto.1.0.php"

WTF? Where is this "ditto"? Was it in another package that I can’t find?

Ditto was released after MODx 0.9.2 and didn’t include in download package. So if you are installing it 1st time, just create a ditto directory under assests/snippets/ and place the files there. Now create a new snippet in MODx resources, name it Ditto and insert the contents of said file. You are done!

      Hope this helps.

      regards,

Hi all, the issue with same topic.

Have a Revolution MODx, tried to install new Ditto version via package manager and failed to use it after that.
        After calling Ditto snippet
        [[Ditto? &parents=`3`]]

have got below line in place where snipped was
        /Users/sedgar/Sites/storm/sources/core/components/ditto/lang/english.inc.php

ditto folder I didn’t find inside of components folder.

        Ditto installing logs has attached.
Any help with resolving the problem will be helpfully.

It’s an issue with the current package, see here

You have to install the previous version manually or try getResources component which basically do the same thing as Ditto.
