I was under the impressions that Manager Permissions and Web Permissions were different since they are different Menus

In deleting Document groups in the Manager Permissions, I come to find that it deleted the same for Web Permissions as well,

this is confusing somewhat, why are both sharing the same document groups ? if that’s the case why have two separate menus for each ? It may be a good idea to include that in the description area for Manager Permissions or perhaps having two separate levels of document groups one for manager and one for web.

If one were to see at first glance they both appear to be separate items.

In the upcoming modx 1.0 there won’t be separate manager/web users anymore..

        Why is that?

Could I still create a website manager, without giving him the /manager account?

You don’t need a dual permission system to set access to web pages and/or manager.
You’ll still be able to give a user access to the manager or not, the only thing is, things will be rationalized smiley
