@INHERIT from a particular page id

hi all

i have a tv thats default value is to @INHERIT whatevers above it in the tree structure, problem is that I want pages on the root to inherit the tv value of the homepage - that is also on the root.

now the obvious work around to me is set the default value as a chunk and do it that way, but the client wont know about chunks or snippets or any of that...

is there a way to say "ok inherit tv from... [~id~]"?
