How should I change files to get this?

I’m using a great template this site provided but would like to enhance it further. How should I change things to get the template to be like in the attachment?
- Make the empty space under the menu disappear, so the edges should ’hug’ the menu at all times;
- Move the top titles down a bit
- Implement space for a picture on the right side. Including some padding to keep the text away
