Is it possible to schedule a news article for deletion, or does it need to be done manually?

When you say News Article, do you mean a MODx page that happens to be a news article, or something else?

When you say delete, do you mean "delete" or "unpublish"?

And what is the relevance of the word "types" in your subject?
No, I don't know what OpenGeek's saying half the time either.

        Thanks Paul,
I’m really considering a scenario, where I would have several posted design contests that are over on different dates.
There would be no point in even storing the information of the past contest, beyond a week or so, and that would probably be better handled in a "Check out the winner’s section" elsewhere.
Any and all news modules or anything else you know of are relevant since it’s hypothetical to help me get a grasp on what’s possible and how.

I just wondered if I had enough content, that I could have a system of some sort that would just remove certain item’s on a specified date, automated if you will.

I edited my post and removed the types explanation, which would be ones that should archive, and ones that could simply be removed from the dB.
