There’s a bug FS#406 in the bug tracker (
http://modxcms.com/bugs/task/406?tasks=all) - I can confirm that this is a problem, though I haven’t made any attempt to investigate why. Also, in the checkPublishStatus() where it tries to check for documents that should be unpublished it refers to "publihsedBy" - spelling error as per the actual code.

This is pretty critical, as it has a tendency to kill a site when it hits a publish/unpublish date.

I was tired when I started this topic, and it seems that what I should have done is add appropriate comments to the bug report itself, which I’ve done. But if anyone has a known-working fix for this (rather than the nasty hack I’ve put in place just to keep my site running) I’d appreciate it
