newbe Questions

Ok I’ve done a base install of Modx and Ive created some test folders and pages

Now I want to get rid of them. Totaly
Modx still shows them and it is very anoying! I just want them to be gone from my adminstration view
How can I do this?

Also the way Modx sorts folders and pages is weird?
How do I control this?

Open the folders and documents you want to remove for editing and "Delete" from the top menu buttons, or right-click on them and select "Delete" from the menu. You cannot delete the document that is being used as "site_start", usually document ID#1. When you have deleted all of the documents you want to be rid of, they will all have a strikethrough on the name. Click the little trash can button at the top of the Document Tree panel. That will remove all documents marked for deletion.

As far as the sorting of the Tree goes, what do you mean by "weird"? Folders go before documents, then they are sorted by menuindex, or alphabetically if they have the same menu index.

Sorting
The toolbar above the document tree will have an icon with "AZ" or something (will vary depending on manager skin) which allows you to sort the tree using various methods. I like sorting it by menuindex.
