HowTo Add "Last-Modified:" to the header?

Hi ALL!

HowTo Add "Last-Modified:" to the header of document and remove "Expires:"

Here is the code I have added at the beginning of index.php:

Works great for me.
You will also notice a net increase in performance if browsing with Firefox.

Is there a bug report filed on this? Sounds like a good core change to me. Any reasons why NOT to do this?

To start, we should be sending the real editondate for last modified....

Second, where in the core do we actually send the headers? That way we are not sending duplicate headers.

Yes!

in document.parser.class.inc.php after 400 lines I have done:
   
$header = ’Content-Type: ’.$type.’; charset=’.$this->config[’etomite_charset’].’
’.’Last-Modified: ’.gmdate("D, d M Y H:i:s",time()-614600).’ GMT’;

but, wanted to get real last-modified date by "$Last-Modified = this->bla-bla-bla", for example and get this date from DB...
