at modxhost.com they were refering to using index.php?q= as an example, is this really google search engine friendly ?
in using an actual alias name like introduction vs index.php?q=2 is one indexed more or are they the same
i would like to use index.php?q= if google wil index it i’m assuming google doesn’t like id ? if so whats the difference between q over id ?

that was helpful however it didn’t answer my question
it did say not to use id= but does that mean not to use anything refering to index? or can we use any letter but "id" it didn’t cover that in the links

Actually it did:
Don’t use "&id=" as a parameter in your URLs, as we don’t include these pages in our index.
So it’s probably safe to say that using "id" as a variable name in URLs is probably not a good idea, thus the reason the other person used "q" instead.
On another note, I’ve been using the friendly URL’s option on my site for close to a year now and have not had any problems with Google or any other search engine spidering my site.
