    I’m looking for a multi-domain/cms solution.

Are there any hacks/mods to allow modx to do this?

I’ve been looking at these currently, which are forks of WordPress to enable multi-user multi-domain installs.

I have searched and all I can find is *SUB* domain solutions in modx.

Maybe I was unclear but I’m looking for multiple domains *not* subdomains !

        can anybody help.

        For example.

one modx installation can drive 4 related domains.

each domain is unique but maps to pages in the one modx installation!

        help!

Can you give a real world example or a ficticious example of what needs to happen with this 4 domain setup?

          • MODx 1.0 will introduce the concept of Contexts which will allow you to map and isolate multiple subdomains, add-on domains, etc. (as long as they as accessible to each other on the same file system) inside a single MODx installation. There is a hack to support both of these as well for the time being, which is referred to as sub-sites most of the time; there’s really not much difference between subdomains and additional domains in most virtual hosting environments. If you are looking for something to bridge data across multiple remote domains, there are no current plans to support this directly, short of building authentication/identity bridges for SSO (single-sign-on) capabilities.
