    Hi!
    I have migrated to MODx Revolution, now using UTF-8 as character encoding.
    I have a problem when creating an article/resource. If I enter a summary, it breaks at the first swedish character (å, ä or ö).
    The content itself works fine, since TinyMCE converts strange characters to html-entities.
    The database, tables and fields are utf8_general_ci as far as I can see.
    How do I solve this?

      What is your database_connection_charset value in core/config/config.inc.php ?

      Also, are you pasting UTF-8 Swedish characters or ISO-8859-1 Swedish characters?

        Hi again, I just completed a new installation of MODx (1.0.3) and found out that when trying to create a new template it breaks just the same way as my previous post stated. At the first international character.

        In config.inc.php:
        $database_connection_charset = 'utf8';
        $database_connection_method = 'SET CHARACTER SET';

        The database itself and all tables and fields are utf8_swedish_ci.

        When I paste the same code into phpmyadmin it will save everything, including international characters, and they will show in phpmyadmin, but when I load the template in MODx Manager, it will show double-encoded characters.

          Are you using a UTF-8 compatible language file for the manager language?
