I’m based in the UK and I’m being asked to produce a web site for a German company who have registered their .de domain with (quite naturally) the German host united-domains.de

It looks like they support the required PHP and MySql.

Am I likely to run into any problems with my normal install of modx if I build locally and then upload?

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

no, guess not - that’s my standard procedure/workflow

nonetheless you could make a test install on their server, just to see if everything runs smooth (if there are any complications, you’d have plenty of time to tackle it)
