    I’ve tracked the bug as FS #414. I’ve placed a link back to this thread for the solution.

      I had the same problem with checkboxes and multiselect lists,
      It turned out to be a change in the PHP.INI settings when I upgraded my server from PHP 4.4 to 5.1.4, something to do with the way PHP was handling variables.

      I just copied the PHP.INI from another server which it was working on and everythings fixed.

      I’ll check out that code aswell for the future.

        Hi,

        You might want to try out these lines 228-234 save_content.processor:

        				// handles checkboxes & multiple selects elements
        				$feature_insert = array();
        				$lst = $_POST["tv".$row['name']];
        				while (list($featureValue, $feature_item) = each ($lst)) {
        					$feature_insert[count($feature_insert)] = $feature_item;
        				}
        				$tmplvar = implode("||",$feature_insert);

        This doesn’t work for me... all the checkbox converted to radio options :’(

          Hi kudolink,

          When you say all the options are converted to radio options - do you mean they are physically displayed as radio options? Or, that the checkboxes are displayed but it only saves one selected value?

          Thanks,
          Garry

            Sorry, the sentence I’ve wrote was misleading: I intended I converted all the checkboxes to radio input, to mimic the on/off functionality of the checkbox.
            Radio options leave the user change the value from the default one.

              This bug depends on my PHP version:

              ModX 0.9.2.1 + PHP 5.1.4 = Bug.
              ModX 0.9.2.1 + PHP 4.4.1 = Works fine.

              But I’m not sure where exactly I have to fix this. In my /manager/processors/save_content.processor.php the suspicious lines are not 228-234 like Raymond says, but 181-186. Is that right?

                  My multi-select checkbox and listbox does not work.

                  PHP 5.2.6
                  mysql 5.0.45

                  I have checked this patch, it IS in the controller file.

                  Also tried it on external server PHP 5.2.5 same problem.

                    Same issue here.  undecided

                    I have MODx 0.9.6.1p2 on Apache/1.3.41 (Unix) with PHP Version 5.2.6 and MySQL 5.something

                    I’ve edited save_content.processor.php, the lines were not 228-234 like Raymond says, but 169-175, and the lines was already modified (like beryl in fact).

                    So I still have this problem.  huh

                    [EDIT]
                    Well I’ve tried the opposite : the checkbox with no default value (ie. replaced "Show this" by "Not show this"). It seems to work.
