I made copies of all the english files listed in the "language installation pack", and did rename each from "english..." to "hun-utf8...".
Then I set the Language in Tools -> Config to "hun-utf8". So far that’s good.
Now, when I translate even only one title in my "hun-utf8.inc.php" file, the Manager breaks. When saving any document or setting causes the following error (but the saving is done):
Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at K:\xampp\htdocs\modx0961\manager\includes\lang\hun-utf8.inc.php:1) in K:\xampp\htdocs\modx0961\manager\processors\save_settings.processor.php on line 60
Can anyone help me out of this?
Which language installation(translation?) pack you have used? it might be outdated!and missed some strings - take the latest language files from the latest stable MODx release.
- Translate & save the files under the utf-8 charset encoding, the files never be affected just by renaming’em to utf-8.
- I had the same error issue at my local server when i started to translate and examine the persian language files, but when i tried it on online server, the same package doesn’t made similar error that i had on local server!, i resolved it by following every single step on taking care of the server configurations and same collasion/charset assign to the db and language files.
Can i have the files attached to the post for download? so i can make sure that the error is not related to the language files itself.
Also provide information about the server and versions of your working environment then i’m sure that someone could help more.
Sorry for the late - there are too many things to do each day - and thanks for the response.
The fact is that I can’t refind what pack did I download, but it’s not important. I just took the ideas what files are those I have to make a translated version of.
Actually I only made copies of several language files in the 0.9.6.1 release, and did rename them for being ready to translate.
The error was caused when the main language file, \manager\includes\lang\english.inc.php (or its copy, after language selection) was to be change.
In the file \manager\includes\config.inc.php, the $database_connection_charset = ’utf-8’; is set. ’utf8’ to be set doesn’t work for me. It was found after resolving AjaxSearch unicode-problems. (AS1.6.2)
So... what else to report...
Thanks for any advice!
(I’ve changed the title)
Do you still get the same error as your first note? did you checked your server configurations?
