I’ve been doing some research here and I’m still a little confused.
I’m wondering if I can change the character encoding?
Basically I want to create a Chinese language website that uses gb2312 (and not UTF8).
If that’s the case, can I set the charset to gb2312?
<meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=gb2312" />
From this thread:

it seems like you can since there is a gb2312 language pack.
Also this thread

seems to suggest that I can use a tag for the charset would be the optimal way to do it.
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=[(etomite_charset)]" />
Any enlightenment would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
