    Hi!

New user to MODx and I am trying to translate manager into croatian. However, I have notice the croatian-unique characters do not display in manager, instead I get lots of ’?!%$#’ type characters.

So, how can I make the characters display as they should?

    Thanks,
    krypto

You’ll need to change the character set also (to what, I’m not exactly sure), and make sure your manager translation file is saved with that same file encoding..

Thank you for the prompt reply. It works on Western European (ISO) - iso - 8859-1.

Strange because all of my web work in Croatia is done in utf-8 and I have no problems there. Plus, your translation kit asks to keep things in utf-8, if possible, and would like to be able to conform.

Once again thanks for the help and let me add that MODx is truly an incredible product and I can’t wait to become more proficient, because the possibilities seem limitless.

          Hello!

I’m new with MODx and hope to stay (just waiting to get confirmation that MODx will support PostgreSQL). smiley

When I looked at ../modx/core/lexicon/country/en.inc.php I did not see the language code for Croatia?

Any doc/wiki_page which explains the current status of translation tools and/or process?

Afaict, one can translate offline (unlike CMSMS’s online translation center) and keep his/her work under (D)VCS?

I canno promise how quickly I can proceed considering other duties/projects, but I’m willing to contribute. wink

          Sincerely,
          Gour
