    Yes, that’s by design. But is this a good design to return "a nothing" when asked for the current user? laugh
    And to do that in several ways?
    Other than the function we’re talking about the next function ’getLoginUserType’ returns a "nothing" (’ ’) explicitly.
    Maybe I’m wrong, but I think error-checking is completely absent in modx0.9. It just forwards PHPengine and MySQL errors.
    I don’t think a framework should behave that way. And there are other strange things, with getDocuments for instance:

      Many thanks for sharing Paul.

      Some things are not as they should be or as we would like them to be but with time things will only get better. In the meanwhile we just have make the best of what we have now (by using possible work-arounds) until a much better system is release.
