      Great looking template!

I don’t know if I should be posting this here, or in another thread, but my issue came up when trying to use your template. I haven’t been able to get your template to work properly. I know zero about JS but i think my problem lies in that part of the template.

Problem: I cannot get the sections to blind and unblind.

I’ve noticed that the Pulsate effect works (from effects.js) From there, i figured that the toggle function would be in that file as well, but it turned out to be in the prototype.js file, but it didnt seem to have any ’blind’ feature, only ’hide’ and ’show’ (which i tried without success) So i’m not sure how {onclick="Effect.toggle(’news’,’blind’)"} is supposed to work.

I ended up changing "Effect.toggle(’news’,’blind’)" to "Effect.BlindUp(’news’,’blind’)" and that seems to work fairly well but not perfectly (IE is ok, but it still doesnt work in opera). It didnt help the ajaxnews chunk at all.

I figure i’m close, but i have no idea how close wink can you suggest anything that might fix/help?

      thanks.

In Opera fx seems different because Opacity fx does not work in Opera embarrassed

well surprise surprise, upgrading to the latest and greatest works. .... i’m not used to that, being forced to work in a windows environment and all ... wink

but now i’m in real trouble ... after diving into those js files i see there are sorts of neat toys to experiment with.

            thanks for the quick help.

              Hi,

I’m new to the world of CMS, i’ve recently started a business and have used freewebs to generate some interest in my product. Now i want to use a CMS to build an e commerce site to sell my goods over the net. I’ve had ModX recommended to me and I really like this template, would it be ok to use it with some e-commerce software such as KiweeCommerce? Or do I need to get a specific e-commerce template? Sorry if that’s a dumb question but i’m pretty new to website building. huh

              Thanks,
              Tom.
              • No, your template isn’t important, it’s the snippets/chunks and other MODx tags you include that adds the functionality. Of course, some templates might not be suitable for a given purpose... for example, my Mondrian template might not be suitable for much of anything except a bit of fun!
