Hi, I’m using the Gallery package and I’ve got a template with two GalleryItem tvs assigned to it, but when editing the resources something prevents the tvs from operating correctly. They are not properly distinguished as two separate entities. Here’s what is happening:

    • assign two gallery tvs to a template, (I’ve put them into two different categories)

    • create a new resource with that template

    • choose an image for the first gallery tv instance. At this point it is impossible to select an image for the second gallery tv.

    • Save the resource

    • Reload the resource. (both instances should have the first image loaded into them).

    • Choose an image for the second instance, at which point it is impossible to choose an image for the first.

    • Save the page. Now both tvs have different images, but apparently which ever template one start’s interacting with is the only one that will continue to work.

Sometimes it breaks and the whole page load strangely. The richtext editing won’t work and the check box beneath the content area that allows me to turn the editor on or off won’t work. I suspect it’s a javascript error, especially because Chrome’s console reports the following error:

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ’view’ of undefined in galtv.js:536

Unfortunately I don’t understand ExtJs well enough to figure out what’s going on. Can anyone help?

Two galleryitem tv's on one resource is a buggy thing.

But it;s even worse: caching isn't working with these galleryitem tv's!

It will generate a cache in components/gallery/
but never uses the images in it.

images placed true image tv / and tinymce will cache in core/phpthumb

Everytime a page is visited it will again make the image and ignore the one in cache. Speeding things up with thumb off isn't working either. I find them a constant source of trouble. It's a shame because the gallery browser is so much user friendly then the normal one. (do not! use big albums they won't be cashed to.

Mayby one day they will finish it right but for now i say use image tv istead of galleryitem.
