Maxigallery - just a few adjustments

Hi everyone, I’ve been making a website with a gallery. I’ve managed to get big image and thumbnails on the same page, custom pagination. Still need a few things and I haven’t found the solution anywhere.

1. Can’t get next\prev pic links to work. I know I should’ve used the picture template to modify those links but the customer wants these buttons to be under thumbnails. So is there any way to use prev\next pic links in gallerypicturetpl? Or any way to put them there?

2. The gallery I have is not embedded with any of the cool scripts (i.e. slimbox, smoothgallery etc.). But I need a button that will turn this gallery into a timed slideshow. Putting a custom JS to work isn’t a problem, I just can’t figure out how to tell that script to find the images in a current gallery’s folder. Maybe anyone knows a scripts that perfectly suits my needs?
